I was diagnosed with Large Cell Neuroendocrine Cervical Cancer on November 2, 2020, just one week before my 35th birthday.

Hearing the words, “You have cancer, and it is really aggressive,” brought a fear and isolation that are difficult to describe. I was left wondering, “Am I going to survive this?”

One of the things that carried me through my lowest moments was the community that surrounded me. Finding other women who truly “got it” was especially profound. They understood the fear, the uncertainty, and the emotions that come with a diagnosis like mine in a way few others could.

This April, I was incredibly grateful to celebrate five years clear, a milestone I was blessed to share with so many people who have walked alongside me.

Throughout my journey, I have met so many extraordinary women. Some have passed, and I mourn and miss them dearly. Some are still fighting, and others are celebrating the wonderful words No Evidence of Disease.
