More Than Rare

More Than Rare: Two Journeys, One Purpose - From Surviving to Living

The Power of the Patient Perspective

At MD Anderson, Malee Zardo and Jen Anderson shared their perspectives as patients diagnosed with rare and aggressive forms of neuroendocrine cervical cancer.

Through their personal stories, they explored the importance of patient voices in advancing awareness, education, and research.

They also shared the history of the Sorority of Hope, a grassroots community built through connection, determination, and the belief that no woman should have to face this diagnosis alone.

The presentation also marked the launch of Lifted Through Hope Foundation, an organization connecting lived experience with clinical knowledge and scientific research.

Two journeys. One shared purpose. A commitment to making a difference for the women who come next.

You are not rare to us.
